The Secret - Rhonda Byrne

"The Secret" is a feel good book that is very self-empowering. Review by Rebecca Hall, Operations Manager
I looked at this book about a year ago in the book shop and picked it up to buy it but at the last minute changed my mind. Then totally out of the blue a friend had read it and insisted I must read it so as by fate it crossed my path again, I wanted to give it a try.
I expected to find this book full of wishful thinking tips, but for those who wish to read the book properly, they will find that The Secret is more than wishing. It offers a fascinating theory of which I am now a strong believer. I am not an easy convert but felt so strongly about this book that I wanted to tell all my friends and work colleagues about it and now all the Team at CAS now have a copy and it has become the new CAS employee handbook!!!
The Theory
‘The Secret has been passed down through the ages... coveted, hidden, lost, stolen, bought for vast sums of money, and known by some of the most exceptional people who ever lived: Plato, Galileo, Da Vinci, Beethoven, Edison, and Einstein, to name but a few. The Secret book reveals how you can change every aspect of your life. You can turn any weakness or suffering into strength, power, unlimited abundance, health and joy.’ –Rhonda Byrne
The Law of Attraction, which I had heard of before but never really go to grips with, is a main focus within the book & explains it all in a very easy understandable way. Your mind is very powerful and whatever you think can become reality. The ethics are that we should all think and behave positively and to treat others as we would like to be treated. In other words if you value other people then they will value you too. It has taught me to be grateful for what I've got but not to feel guilty if I want to improve my life even more. This is a way of enhancing your life without downgrading others’.
The question is does it work?
Well no one can answer that because as with any approach involving positive thinking, success can be attributed to the method while failure is personal. If you're successful in gaining results, you would say: "Wow! The Secret really works!" If nothing happens, then you would likely think: "Well, I probably failed to be positive or enthusiastic enough."
Personally it has worked for me and the Team, and we are sure you will feel the same if you read the book.
Even if you don't believe in The Secret, I can say that this book will at least strive to make you a calmer, happier person.
The principles behind The Secret are simple but mighty when you start to feel the benefit.
Everything is possible, nothing is impossible. There are no limits. Whatever you can dream of can be yours, when you use The Secret.’
